At first glance, I have to admit, I was incredibly attracted to the title of Miranda Esmonde-White’s bestselling book Aging Backwards: Reverse the Aging Process and Look 10 Years Younger in 30 Minutes a Day. Who doesn’t want to look 10 years younger after all?
So, I purchased the ebook version.
What I found is that Miranda’s book is about far more than looking 10 years younger. Aging Backwards is a concise, easy-to-read and easy-to-understand publication for which there is a lot to learn about not only aging and anti-aging but about how the muscular and skeletal systems work and how to best work with the body when working out. The author has 8 chapters of workouts including how to straighten your posture, how to speed your weight loss, how to soothe your joints, how to increase your energy, how to relieve your pain, how to enhance your balance, how to improve your mobility and how to protect your bones.
I absorbed an incredible amount of very useful information by reading this book; not to mention the exercises have been thoroughly constructive so far. I began Esmonde-White’s book focusing on the straightening posture workouts – which by the way is one way to look thinner. I am so far, very pleased with my improvement. The consecutive workouts are appealing and inspiring.
So much of this book resonates with me that I cannot help but be excited about sharing it with others. My husband, who has some chronic upper body pain due to his repetitive job movements, is also benefiting from the workout for pain relief. Our hope is that he can eventually move away from his nightly Ibuprofen with Miranda’s information.
The ebook version of this book has been fine for me and there is a website with short videos on how to do the exercises which is very helpful. Overall, I found this book helpful, informative and very useful.
